Welcome back, Richest fans! Due to the age in which we live, a lot of people now carry around a mobile phone or cell phone. As a result, while it does allow that person to be well connected to the world, it also allows criminals to target them more freely. Especially when it comes to telephone scams. Today, we’re going to look at a story where a scammer tried to steal from an older person. Only, that older person was actually the former director of the FBI and the CIA! It might not have ended too well for the criminal. Not only will we explore this story, but also the various scams used in general and how much money victims have lost to them.
Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, we suggest you stop reading and watch the video multiple times. Firstly, we shall look at the life of William H. Webster. From being appointed to his vital positions by President Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan respectively. We’ll look at the apparent prize of multi-million dollars and a Mercedes Benz. We’ll see how a telephone scammer posed as the head of Mega Millions lottery. We’ll then look at the company and the billion-dollar jackpot someone won. The scam artist used the alias David Morgan. But in fact, he was Keniel Thomas. We’ll look at the many victims that Thomas has taken advantage of. We’ll then look at other hoaxes and the cost of such scams. Such as the grandparent scam and IRS scam. We’ll also look at Lynda Webster and how her quick thinking helped the Websters and many other families finally get justice.
