In 1997, Jenny McCarthy left MTV’s popular dating show, “Singled Out,” which she co-hosted with Chris Hardwick. By then, McCarthy was America’s “It” girl and went on to launch her own sketch comedy show on MTV, “The Jenny McCarthy Show.” While the former Playboy Playmate’s departure from “Singled Out” was a shock to fans, she told Inside Edition that she wanted to try different things. She added she believed her successor, Carmen Electra, would do a great job in her spot.
