A new study shows that including strawberries in the daily diet can improve blood vessel function and systolic blood pressure.

The fruit is especially beneficial for overweight or obese people with moderately high cholesterol (LDL cholesterol or “bad” cholesterol).

Strawberries are packed with beneficial antioxidants and nutrients such as potassium, folate, fiber and polyphenols – compounds found in plants that provide a whole host of health benefits.

Research published before this new study showed that eating at least 1.5 cups of strawberries per week reduced the risk of heart attack by 34%.
