There is so little we know about the oceans that cover most of our beloved planet earth. We haven’t even begun to scratch the surface when it comes to all the life forms that live in the seas. For instance, the coelacanth was long considered extinct over 400 million years ago, yet, specimens have been found several times within the last 100 years.
And the giant squid, that particular animal was believed to be nothing more that fictional accounts from sailors during in the last 500 years. And thanks to science, we now know that creature also exists.
So what about megalodon? That giant killer of the deep was believed to have gone extinct around 2.6 million years ago. However, not everyone is convinced that megalodon is dead and gone.
