This is the new normal, at least for now, as Americans adjust to life amid the coronavirus epidemic. Health officials have advised people to practice social distancing and self-isolation while they get a handle on the virus, and many people are hunkering down at home feeling anxious. Meanwhile, those in the public eye are making a concerted effort not to get too close.
