As businesses around the country close their doors to stem the spread of the coronavirus, some organizations remain open. That includes the CHiPS Soup Kitchen & Women’s Shelter in Brooklyn, New York. “In light of the virus, we decided not to close,” Executive Director Denise Scaravella told InsideEdition.com. Instead of their usual sit-down service, the program will make available food to go. “We’re here. We’re going to stay here. And we’re going to keep giving away food.”
