Mountain guide Don Wargowsky was on day 10 of his monthlong expedition to climb Baruntse, a 23,389-foot Himalayan mountain in Nepal, when a sweet and friendly stray dog started following him. Wargowsky and the dog, now named Baru, became fast friends, sharing a tent together as they made their way up the steep, unforgiving terrain. “I don’t know what her motivation was to want to join us up there, but we were absolutely blown away,” he said.
