Hmmm….Maybe I Should Go Fishing For Red Snapper

The following excerpt is from an article that originally appeared on Survival Nation

It was this girl’s first time fishing for red snapper off of the east coast of Florida, with ‘Back To Blue Adventures’ and truth be told, I’m glad someone took a camera along, otherwise we might have missed this. I’ve been fishing all of my life and I’ve never seen fishing like this before !! They were going-out for red snapper and from what I saw in this video, they did very well.

About The Red Snapper:

 Lutjanus campechanus

Overall rosy red. Canine teeth less prominent than those of most other Snappers. Red eye. Anal fin is triangular. The Caribbean Red Snapper, Lutjanus purpureus, is very similar in appearance and is found in the northwest and central Caribbean.

SIZE: Common from a pound or so to about 6 or 8 pounds. Usual maximum is about 20 pounds, although the Red Snapper can rarely run as high as 30 or 40 pounds.
