After a few days of use, towels can develop an unpleasant odor due to the buildup of germs and dirt. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with 3 simple and effective recipes to eliminate those funky smells.
Our first recipe uses white vinegar and baking soda, which easily penetrate fabrics to eliminate bacteria, mold, and microorganisms that cause infections and unpleasant smells. You’ll need hot water, 1 cup of white vinegar, and half a cup of baking soda. Simply add the ingredients to your washing machine and run a regular wash cycle, and your towels will come out clean and odorless.
Our second recipe uses lemon juice, which is an excellent whitener and disinfectant for all kinds of clothes, including towels. You’ll need 4 cups of hot water and half a cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Let your towels soak in the solution for 40 minutes, then wash them as usual to get rid of any bad smells.
To keep your towels from developing weird smells, bacteria, and mold, it’s important to wash them regularly, at least once a week. We also recommend ironing your towels before putting them away, as the heat helps eliminate bacteria and provides double protection for your family. And remember to keep a special place for your towels in your wardrobe, as they require more attention than other pieces of clothing since they’re constantly touching your body.
