It’s election day in Kentucky, New York and Colorado and Democrats hope their enthusiasm is strong enough to take control of the US Senate. But is the loss by a candidate endorsed by President Trump in North Carolina a sign that Trump isn’t as popular as he used to be? RT America’s Scottie Nell Hughes weighs in. Latvia made a dramatic move to ban seven RT channels from its airways. The National Electronic Mass Media Council of Latvia claimed Dmitry Kiselev, who was being sanction by the EU, to be the head of RT. But now the NEPLP has realized their mistake, as RT is actually headed by Margarita Simonyan. Former UK MP George Galloway weighs in. China has approved a contentious national security law for Hong Kong. The move comes on the 23rd anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to mainland China from British rule. While the Chinese government insists the legislation is needed to deal with foreign interference and separatists, others say it’s a direct attack on the people of Hong Kong. The US is one of the biggest critics of the new legislation. RT America’s Alex Mihailovich has the story. Iran’s foreign minister addressed the UN Security Council to respond to a report claiming that the country failed to uphold its end of the nuclear deal.
