Throughout her life, Nina Marino had 167 surgeries for her various medical conditions. Just hours after finding out she wouldn’t make it through the night, she and her fiancé, Joey Williams, said “I do” in her hospital room. “It was beautiful. We both loved it,” Williams said. The pair met when they were kids at a camp for children with serious medical conditions. Marino died shortly after they tied the knot.
