Doughnut Shop Surprises WW II Vet With 99th Birthday Party

It wasn’t Thomas House’s usual reception at his favorite doughnut shop. The World War II veteran is a regular customer at Rainbow Donuts in West Covina, California, where they know him as “Pops.” Little did he know that his family and friends, including those at the shop, had been planning a surprise party for him ahead of his 99th birthday. But the mood at the party was a bit subdued, because it was also a farewell party. InsideEdition.com’s Mara Montalbano has more.
