Allen West Asks “Is the rule of law STILL the rule in America?”

The following excerpt is from an article that originally appeared on Tea Party USA

Former Congressman Allen West did some reflecting on Constitution Day. He asks the question of what is happening to the rule of law in America. Remember, the United States is a Constitutional Republic. Under the Obama administration, it was becoming more like a constitutional monarchy. Congress has also contributed to the problem by not exercising their powers of checks and balances.

As Written By Allen B. West:

“When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” — Psalm 11:3 (New International Version)

At the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787,  Franklin was queried as he left Independence Hall on the final day of deliberation. In the notes of Dr. James McHenry, one of Maryland’s delegates to the Convention,  a lady [Mrs. Powell] asked Dr. Franklin “Well Doctor what have we got, a republic or a monarchy.”  Franklin replied, “A republic . . . if you can keep it.”
